Are You a Late Bloomer?
The secret to blooming – to living a healthy, joyful, fulfilling life – is not found in recognition or accomplishments. Nor is it found by eliminating struggle or pain (an impossible goal).
We bloom when we give up our struggle to meet expectations. We bloom when we make choices from a place of acceptance rather than resistance.
We bloom when we finally realize that the yellow brick road is no more magical than the road to the local market – when we can cook a meal without thinking about the dishes, and then wash the dishes with a calm smile.
We bloom when we give ourselves permission to bloom. Early? Late? It makes no difference.
How about today?
My Blog
Every week I share lessons, reflections, and encouragement for Late Bloomers who want to live more fully.
You’ll find stories from my own journey, practical tools for body, mind, and spirit, and thought-provoking ideas about regret, gratitude, habits, connection, and second chances.
It’s a growing library of insights — written for anyone looking for tools to help them figure out this weird thing called life – or just looking for someone to talk to while walking the path.
My Book: Delayed Onset Living
I’m currently writing a book called Delayed Onset Living: Life Lessons for Late Bloomers.
It’s part memoir, part guidebook — written for anyone who has ever dreamed of living a meaningful, joyful life, but just hasn’t been able to figure it out. Inside, I share:
- Lessons I’ve learned about life during my seven decades on the planet.
- Practical tools and protocols for living life fully, no matter your age.
